Ground Penetrating Radar

Earthview uses Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), a non-destructive method, to find previously undetectable underground objects. GPR provides excellent resolution and increased depth penetration to identify nonmetallic and metallic objects within the earth’s subsurface. GPR uses radar waves to estimate a void’s boundaries and location. If requested, Earthview can use vacuum excavation to determine the type of utility and exact horizontal and vertical location of the void.

Utilities found using GPR:

  • Underground Storage Tanks
  • Concrete Structures
  • Septic Tanks
  • Water and Sewer Lines
  • Junction Boxes
  • Fault Locating
